We usually would be having our councillor surgery in the library this morning, but instead we will be under the Old Town Hall celebrating the King's Birthday with colouring fun for the kids - pop by if you are in town!

As the Men's Football World Cup kicks off, we were interested to learn what the Football Foundation has done to support our area including our very own Faringdon Town Football Club

The Premier League, The FA and the Government formed the Football Foundation 25 years ago to give every community a great place to play, and has been investing in improving grassroots facilities in Vale of White Horse District Council since 2000.

This Saturday, dress up in your red, white and blue to celebrate the King's Birthday in Faringdon Town Centre.
We will have lots of free giveaways and craft activities for the kids, so pop down to the town centre if you are free!

We are so proud to be able to support The Place, helping families throughout Faringdon to be happier and healthier.

Vale of White Horse District Council are helping mum's improve physical and mental health getting back into excersise with pre and post natal pilates classes.

We had a great crowd for "Politics in the Pub" last month, when we met the candidates for Faringdon Town Council. Now that they are elected, I hope they can join us this Monday in The Old Crown Coaching Inn we talk about what matters to Faringdon.

In the week that we are celebrating volunteers, it was wonderful to drop into the Rotary Club of Faringdon & District's Dragon's Den evening at the Corn Exchange.

Our local Rotarians gave to so many great causes, The Far Runners, Bromsgrove Day Centre, The Place, Faringdon Scouts and Goodlake Explorers, Faringdon Darts Academy, COGS, The Elms Primary School, Faringdon-Koenigstein German Twinning Association, and more.

Thank you to all of them and thanks especially to the Rotarians themselves, who raise funds to pass it on to the groups that make our town a wonderful place to live.
