Visit us at our Summer Open Day or RailEx Fareham. More info at www.fareham-mrc.org.uk. Welcome to the page of Fareham & District Model Railway Club, one of the top Model Railway Clubs in Hampshire. As an intermediate club, we welcome newcomers to the world of Railway Modelling as well as established Model Rail enthusiasts. One of the special features of the F&DMRC is the wide range of in
terests of its members. We model in all the principle scales and gauges; our prototype interests range from pre-grouping companies through to the post privatisation scene of today (has the wheel gone full circle?). Standard gauge, light railways, narrow gauge or model engineering β you name it, at least one of our members will have an interest in it. There are three main special interest groups within the club and we also regularly host meetings of two regional groups of National Associations. Special Interest Groups: The smallest scale we currently model is 2mm British N Gauge (as yet nobody has proposed a Z layout, but you never know). There is also the 09 project which represents 15β³ gauge trains in 7mm/ft scale. Moving up the scales, there is an active 4mm group who work in 00 Gauge. Some members of this group are also members of the EM Gauge and P4 Societies, although the club has no plans to move into these gauges at present. There is also an established, and growing, base of 0 Gauge finescale modellers who are working on their new Middleton Junction layout, more details on the layouts page. If you're new to Railway Modelling, or have a passion for Model Railways, then why not come along and see what we're about?
