Another fantastic meeting tonight at Solent Speakers, with "International No Diet Day" as the theme of the meeting, discussing specific diet benefits, interesting cousines around the world, and debating whether pineapple on pizza is acceptable.

Barnaby won the award for the Table Topic and we had Yogendra our Area Director visiting the club tonight and taking on the role of General Evaluator, for which he also won the "Best Evaluator" report.

Fantastic meeting throughout and we look forward to meeting everyone on May 20th at Lysses Hotel in Fareham @19:30

Yet another fantastic meeting at Solent Speakers Public Speaking Club .

Gavin delivered a great speech describing how a Toastmasters Club can help you achieve your public speaking goals and improve your personal and professional confidence by becoming an effective speaker.

As always, we had a meeting theme and yesterday's theme was 'Guy Fawkes, Gunpowder Treason Day'. Ash, our Toastmaster, entertained the evening with a series of curious facts about the event.

Russel won the award for the best Table Topic Speech and our guest Yogendra won the award for the best Evaluator.

If you're struggling with lack of confidence when delivering a work presentation or speech at a family event, you're welcome to join us. It's a friendly and welcoming club, where all members are on the same journey of improving their communication abilities.

The theme of tonight's meeting is "Traditions from around the world". It will be a fun and engaging evening, with prepared, as well as impromptu speeches.
