Could you help shape how health and social care professionals learn and work together?

CAIPE is looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help guide our work in interprofessional education and collaborative practice.

We would love to hear from clinicians, academics, leaders and others who understand UK health and social care and share our commitment to better collaboration.

We are particularly interested in experience in:

🔹 Policy and professional regulation

🔹 Board governance, finance and risk management

🔹 Funding applications, including tenders and research grants

🔹 Digital communication, marketing and public relations

We welcome applications from all health and social care professions, particularly medicine, social work, midwifery and pharmacy. We are also committed to increasing the diversity of our Board and welcome different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

Build connections. Share experience. Develop ideas.

We’re launching CAIPE Connects: From Insight to Impact—a new online series bringing our community of practice together across interprofessional education, research and collaborative practice.

Co-hosted by Alison Power and Suzy Plows, the series will offer a space to meet colleagues beyond your own organisation, explore shared challenges and develop ideas you can take into your own setting. Your questions, interests and experiences will help shape the conversations.

How do we prepare and support the people who facilitate interprofessional education (IPE)?

CAIPE’s new report explores this question through a UK-wide survey undertaken with Glasgow Caledonian University, drawing on findings from 41 institutions offering IPE.

The findings highlight gaps in formal facilitator training, alongside time and resource pressures. The report also considers support for patients, service users, carers and students involved in facilitating IPE, and sets out ten recommendations for CAIPE’s future work with education and practice partners.

We now invite submissions from researchers, educators, and practitioners interested in advancing interprofessional education and collaborative practice.

✔️ Papers presented at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Education Conference 2026 with the APIPEC Network are eligible.

✔️ Relevant papers not presented at the conference are also welcome.

✔️ Empirical, review, theoretical, innovation papers, and short reports will be considered.

*Note: If you are submitting via the JIC portal, please indicate in your cover letter that you are submitting for this special issue.
