The Rainbow Centre

The Rainbow Centre Providing Conductive Education and support for children and adults with neurological conditions

The Rainbow Centre is a wonderful Fareham-based charity that supports children with Cerebral Palsy and adults with MS, Parkinson’s and those recovering from a stroke. We have traditionally used a positive system of learning called ‘Conductive Education’ that focuses on what individuals are able to do in order to become active, happy and proud of their achievements. The aim is for our children to f

ulfil their potential and meet the challenges in life that most of us overcome without a thought. We are now expanding our adult service to help people with other motor impairment disabilities and are using the Conductive Education practices to enhance neurological enablement - helping people to find different and easier ways to do things learning or re-learning lost or hard to do life independence skills. Receiving almost no statutory funding, The Rainbow Centre depends upon the generosity of the local community to provide the majority of the £45,000 a month running costs. Our support comes in a variety of forms from one-off donations to charity balls and challenge events and we now have a new scheme of bursaries and scholarships available to provide for a group of children of varying needs. It was so special to have a visit from some familiar faces from and The Knights Foundation where we joined them on their podcast: Sophia, Callum and Lexie attended at The Rainbow Centre as children and here you can listen to them reminiscing and talking about the amazing impact our centre has had on them and many others.

The episode is available to listen to now! Scan the code in your Spotify search bar or listen wherever you get your podcasts!

This garden has seen better days, but with your support, its best days are still ahead. We're urgently seeking donations and volunteers to help restore our condemned garden and create a safe, beautiful space for everyone to enjoy. Can you help us dig in and make a difference?

Whether you're one person looking to make a change or a business that can provide expertise and support we would love to hear from you.

Holiday Club Highlight: Youth Club

Last week, we held another introductory Youth Club session - and what better way to get everyone involved than with a giant outdoor game of Snakes and Ladders!

There was plenty of movement, laughter and teamwork and most importantly... lots of fun! We can't wait for the next one!
