โ˜€๏ธ A Summer Smile Moment!

Thereโ€™s nothing quite like making the most of a sunny day, and these lovely photos from our service in Hampshire capture just that! ๐Ÿ’œ

Carlos had great fun putting his aim to the test with a game of giant darts, while Peter and Mary found the perfect way to cool off - enjoying the refreshing water splashing over their feet. Neil enjoyed a friendly game of Jenga in the garden.

It's wonderful to see everyone enjoying the fresh air, spending time together, and making the most of the beautiful weather.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Have your say on the future of social care

A national conversation about the future of adult social care is underway โ€“ and we want to encourage as many people as possible to get involved.

The Big Conversation on Care, led by the Casey Commission, is giving people across England the opportunity to share what they think care and support should look like in the future.

At Avenues and Autism Hampshire, we see every day the difference that good support can make. That's why we welcome this national conversation and, importantly, the opportunity for the voices and experiences of people who draw on care and support to be heard.

Whether you receive support, care for someone, work in social care or simply have thoughts about the kind of support you or someone you love might need one day โ€“ your voice matters.

The conversation starts with one big question:

๐Ÿ’ญ โ€œWhen we are old or disabled, or have a serious illness, who should support us and how?โ€

We encourage our community to get involved, share your views and be part of the conversation. We're looking forward to seeing what we can learn from the research and how people's experiences and ideas help shape the future of social care.

Temporary pause to referrals โ€“ Andover Autism and ADHD Community Hub

To ensure we can continue providing a safe, high-quality service, referrals into the Andover Autism and ADHD Community Hub are being temporarily paused while we strengthen the team.

This is a temporary measure to help us maintain the quality of support for people already accessing the service, while we increase capacity.

While referrals are temporarily paused, individuals may wish to access other sources of information and support where appropriate, more information can be found at: autismhampshire.org.uk/how-we-can-help/adults

Our priority is to ensure everyone who accesses the service receives the support they need. Thank you for your patience and understanding while referrals are temporarily paused. We look forward to welcoming new referrals again as soon as possible.

๐ŸŒŸ A Smile Moment from Hampshire ๐ŸŒŸ

Sometimes it's the little moments that bring the biggest smiles. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Eleanor recently enjoyed a wonderful day balancing learning with fun. She spent time completing some maths work before making the most of the fresh air and sunshine on her bike.

It's fantastic to see the people we support developing skills, enjoying activities and spending time outdoors.
