Group coordinator Tink O Bell and her guide dog Ben are taking part in this months ‘Walk 100km for Guide Dogs UK - the mild weather is certainly helping, please read Tink’s story about her 3 amazing guide dogs and the freedom they have afforded her, so much so that she wants to raise money to share that with others who are on their sight loss journey ~ if you are able to spare some change it would be greatly appreciated

We had the most amazing and fun day today with the Havant, Hayling and District fundraising Group for Guide Dogs, volunteers and the amazing dogs that lapped up all the fuss and love shown to them, description on each photo. A wonderful £683.51 raised through your generous donations, playing on the tombola and buying some of our amazing merchandise.

Are you busy on Sunday?

This handsome chap, his friends, puppies in training and other working guide dogs will be at Gunwharf Quays - Along with our amazing human volunteers, Merchandise and fabulous Tombola (where you have the chance of winning your own guide dog pup soft toy to take home) - it would be lovely to see you there.

This afternoon a local guide dog owner visited the residents of Hartwell Lodge in Fareham to talk to them about her life with a guide dog and the work of the charity.

As you can see from the photo, guide dog Ben (full golden retriever) enjoyed his time meeting everyone after he calmly dozed during the talk.

Thank You to all who came and said hello, had a fuss with the dogs ~ In total we raised £508.51. Photos below show the lovely retired Star (yellow Labrador) and working guide dog Ben (Golden Retriever) laying in the lovely cool air conditioned store.
Our usual photographer wasn’t available yesterday so only managed to capture 3 photos.
