Portchester Day Nursery at Portchester Community School is looking for a kind, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team.
🕒 11.5 hours per week (52 weeks per year)

🏀 Training Details

When: Thursdays, 6–8pm
Where: Portchester Community School
Who: We are particularly looking for Year 8 & Year 9 students (Under-14s), but also welcome players up to Under-16 level.
Sessions:
6–7pm: General training U12s
7–8pm: U14s & U16s focus
Cost: First session is FREE as a taster. After that, sessions are paid monthly, working out at £8 per hour.

🏀 About the Club

Coached by qualified Level 2 coaches, supported by assistant coaches.
Players have the option to:
Compete in the Grassroots Basketball League against local teams, or
Train and play casually until they feel ready for competition.
Fareham Falcons provide a pathway into Whiteley Warriors Basketball CIC (National League) for those who wish to progress further.

🏀 Why Get Involved?

Basketball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, and opportunities in the local area are limited. Apart from our Gosport Gunners club, the nearest alternative is Portsmouth Force – so we’re really pleased to be able to offer this opportunity right here in Portchester for local students.
