The Full Circle Expedition returns tomorrow 🌊

Tomorrow, 11 June, the Full Circle Expedition arrives back in Falmouth, marking the end of an extraordinary journey around the UK with veterans and serving personnel on board.

Join us from 11am as Spirit of Falmouth and Pellew make their way into the harbour, welcomed by a flotilla of vessels and a ceremonial cannon salute.

There’ll be live music, local food and drink, and a few special moments throughout the day.

One highlight will see the Invictus Games flag complete its final leg of the expedition by jetpack to Pendennis Castle, where it will be raised one last time before the countdown to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 begins.

This free event is open to everyone, so come along and help us celebrate an incredible achievement that is also raising vital funds to support wounded, injured and sick veterans.

Can’t make it but would like to support the expedition? Donations can be made at fullcircle.turntostarboard.co.uk 🖤💛

And if you know someone who would enjoy being part of the celebrations, please share this post and help us spread the word.

It was never just about sailing.

It wasn’t about the ships, the miles covered, or even the incredible journey around the UK.

It was about people.

The veterans who stepped on board. The veterans who followed the journey from afar. The veterans whose stories have been shared along the way.

And it’s about the veterans we haven’t reached yet.

Thanks to your support, we’ve now raised an incredible £20,000 towards our £50,000 target. Reaching that target will help bring Pellew, a new sailing vessel, into the Turn to Starboard fleet, creating more opportunities for veterans facing challenges including PTSD, anxiety, depression, physical injury, isolation, unemployment and low confidence.

Because recovery doesn’t happen alone. Connection matters. Purpose matters. And every veteran deserves the chance to navigate life with intention and fulfilment.

If you’re able to, please consider donating via our fundraising page: fullcircle.turntostarboard.co.uk - Every donation, share, comment and conversation helps us move one step closer to our £50,000 goal.

Thank you for being part of this journey 🖤💛

Tune in for the homecoming on Thursday 🌊

Strength through adversity 🌊

After taking shelter in Ireland to avoid severe weather, we finally found a small window to make our run back to Cornwall.

Although the storm had passed, the wind remained strong and the sea state was still challenging, with large swells left behind by the extreme conditions. It was a demanding and often arduous passage home.

But throughout the journey, the veterans taking part in the expedition showed exactly what Full Circle is all about.

Faced with difficult conditions, they dug deep, supported one another and rose to every challenge the sea put before them. Through resilience, determination and teamwork, they made a safe return to Cornwall together.

This was not an easy crossing, but it was a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when people work as one crew.

A huge thank you to for supporting the Full Circle expedition and helping us create opportunities that support the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick veterans.

The sea doesn’t always make things easy 🌊

To make the most of the prevailing winds, Pellew diverted to Rosslare, Ireland, before setting course for Newlyn. The passage from Rosslare proved to be one of the more challenging legs of the expedition, with big seas and demanding conditions putting both crew and vessel to the test.

But challenges like these are where the strength of the team shines through.

The crew rose to the occasion, supporting one another, keeping spirits high, and embracing every part of the journey. Even an unexpected stop in Ireland became a memorable moment, with a few crew members fully committing to the occasion by dressing as leprechauns 🍀

As Full Circle enters its final stages, we’d like to thank for their support of the expedition. Their partnership is helping us continue to create life-changing opportunities for wounded, injured and sick veterans through challenge, adventure and shared experiences.

If you can, please support the expedition and help us continue making a difference to the veteran community. You can donate here: https://fullcircle.turntostarboard.co.uk 🖤💛

Weathering the storm 🌊

Mother Nature hasn’t made this journey easy. Long days, rough conditions, heavy weather, and dark skies have all been part of life on board during the Full Circle Expedition.

That’s why having the right safety equipment matters.

A huge thank you to for supplying the crew with lifejackets throughout this 2,000 nautical mile voyage around the UK as they carry the Invictus Games flag ahead of Birmingham 2027.

Through every challenging crossing, tough watch, and unpredictable forecast, the crew continue to show resilience, teamwork, and determination at sea.

“This is my Full Circle.”

You may want to grab a tissue for this one.

By the end of these 12 incredible weeks, the Full Circle Expedition will have sailed more than 2,000 nautical miles around the UK, visited 23 ports, and carried the Invictus Games flag from community to community, connecting people through a shared spirit of resilience, service, and recovery.

But alongside the miles sailed and the places visited, something else has been happening.

For many of the veterans involved, this journey has been deeply personal. It’s been a chance to reconnect, rebuild confidence, form new friendships, and discover what they’re capable of.

It’s difficult to put into words just how much this expedition has meant to so many people. Thankfully, this video does a far better job than we ever could.

The voyage is coordinated by Turn to Starboard and delivered in partnership with Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, with thanks to long-standing supporters and Founding Sponsor AirTanker.

If you’re able to, please consider supporting the journey via our fundraising page. Every donation helps make a difference 🖤💛

“Your sails look magnificent.” 🌊

As the Full Circle expedition enters its final two weeks, there’s a real mix of emotions. We’ve all been reflecting on just how incredible this journey has been so far, whilst also trying to stay present and fully appreciate these final legs at sea.

From challenging conditions to unforgettable moments, this expedition has already created memories that will stay with the crews for a lifetime.

But beyond the journey itself, Full Circle is all in support of the life-changing work of Turn to Starboard.

Every donation helps bring the charity closer to purchasing Pellew, a new ship that will allow even more veterans to access support through sailing and maritime training while facing challenges including PTSD, anxiety, depression, physical injury, isolation, unemployment and low confidence.

Pellew Lasses vs. Team Spirit 💪

While in Bangor, we were invited to take part in the rowing races at the Sea Bangor Festival 🌊

With Bangor Sea Cadets coxing the races, things quickly got competitive 😆

Team Spirit powered their way through to the final, finishing as runners-up after some brilliant racing from everyone involved.

A huge thank you to everyone who welcomed us and made us part of such a fantastic event 🖤💛
