Dear Pink Wig Family,

It is with heavy hearts that the Pink Wig Committee have made the difficult decision to end Pink Wig Events Ladies Night.

We have considered the rising costs of holding the event which has resulted in giving less to our chosen charities, coupled with our own personal commitments.

We are so proud of what we have achieved since Sally’s diagnosis in 2009 and the fundraising since 2010.

We have raised over £220,000 for our chosen beneficiaries over the years which has been The Mermaid Centre and until 2023, Breast Cancer Now nationally.

We’d like to take the opportunity to give grateful thanks to all the local businesses that have supported us through sponsorships and raffle prizes over the years, as our night would not have been possible without you.

We’d also like to give thanks to Falmouth Town Council, UK & Tim Vigus of Southwest Bars and Events for your support and believing in us over the years!

It goes without saying that our nights would not have been the same without: Falmouth Marine Band Cornwall and of course Fred Thomas aka 'Betty' & our very own Mabel Moobs, Embrace - Dance Fitness, Nate Valentino & The Strutts, that’s another massive thank you guys & gals 🩷

Most importantly we know that we couldn’t have made the nights over the years as successful as they have been without the support of you ladies braving the Pink Wig and coming along to the biggest ladies’ night out 🩷

We thank you all so much for being a part of this incredible journey with us and in Sally’s words:

Last week our Sue Morant went along to the Mermaid Centre to present them with our fundraising donation of a whopping £27,000 🎉
We are so delighted to be able to make this donation to the local Breast Care Centre to help the women and men of Cornwall fighting breast cancer & as always we couldn’t do this without the support that we get from the local community ♥️

Well what can we say ……we were blown away by the effort you all made with your make-up, costumes and definitely all the wigs this year 🩷
It was lovely to see so many of the younger generation of wiggers joining the parade too - they are our future 💕

Our aim this year was to smash the £200,000 total raised since 2010 and with all your help and support WE DID IT 🥳🎉🥳🎉

We are delighted that we will be donating £27,000 to The Mermaid Centre at The Royal Cornwall Hospital 🩷

We know some of you are waiting on next years theme …. So watch this space 🤩

Thank you once again to all our sponsors who we could not provide the night without and those businesses that donate the fantastic raffles year on year 💕

Also a massive thanks to all our family & friends that help us set-up, stay on the door for the night, run the bar, raffles and also the taking down and storage of our equipment at Ardent!

Well where’s that week gone!
Ladies we cannot thank you enough as always for coming & taking part in the parade, the main event and making this night the continued success that it is.
We are all definitely helping to keep Sally’s legacy alive 🩷
We want to do a few shout outs to those that we work closely with all year to help with parade planning and the night itself! The team at
Falmouth Town Council, UK - Richard Gates & his team for organising the road closures and marshalling along with supporting us with the Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response and Coast Medic cover keeping us all safe as possible 🩷
Tim Vigus and his team of staff from Southwest Bars and Events for the support with and in the marquee 🩷
Also to Kim and his team of security from Infinitus who are always so helpful & professional!
