Sometimes it's the simplest moments that mean the most. 🍦

A trip out for an ice cream, a chat, some sunshine, and quality time together. Last week, our wonderful support worker, Helen, enjoyed a lovely outing with one of the people we support, creating memories and making the most of everything our beautiful local community has to offer.

At Riverside, we believe care is about so much more than completing tasks. It's about building meaningful relationships, encouraging independence, reducing isolation, and helping people continue doing the things that bring them happiness.

It's these everyday moments of connection, laughter and genuine companionship that remind us why we do what we do. πŸ’œ

Today we're celebrating the incredible art of drag and the amazing people who bring it to life.

We are so fortunate to know some truly talented local drag performers personally, and it is an absolute honour to watch them share their creativity, passion and authenticity with our community. Behind the makeup, costumes and performances are some of the kindest, most genuine and compassionate people you could hope to meet.

Drag is so much more than entertainment. It's an art form that celebrates individuality, self-expression, resilience and the freedom to be unapologetically yourself. It challenges expectations, creates spaces where people feel seen, and reminds us that the world is a brighter place when everyone is free to express who they are.

At Riverside Support Service, we believe everyone deserves to live authentically, free from judgement, and to be celebrated for exactly who they are.
