🎹 Music learning should fit the learner — not the other way around.

At David Faulds Music, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn an instrument in a way that makes sense to them.

One approach I use, where appropriate, is Figurenotes — a visual music notation system using colours and shapes to make reading and playing music more accessible.

For some learners, particularly those with additional support needs, it can provide a valuable route into music-making.

For others, traditional notation, learning by ear or a combination of approaches may be more suitable.

There is no single method that works for everyone.

With over 30 years of teaching experience, my focus is on understanding the individual, building confidence and helping each person discover what they can achieve.

💚🎶 MUSIC, YOUR WAY — INDIVIDUAL ASN MUSIC SESSIONS IN FALKIRK 🎶💚

At David Faulds Music, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy and explore music in their own way.

I have spaces available for individual music sessions for children, young people and adults with additional support needs (ASN).

These aren’t traditional music lessons where everyone is expected to learn in the same way.

They’re sessions built around the individual.

Sessions are adapted to each person’s interests, preferences and support needs, in a welcoming and encouraging environment.

I offer individual music lessons for children and adults of all ages and abilities, including mainstream learners and those with additional support needs (ASN).

I also offer dedicated one-to-one music sessions for children and adults with additional support needs.

These sessions are individually tailored, providing a supportive, understanding and encouraging environment where everyone can explore music in their own way.

Whether it’s learning an instrument, exploring sounds and rhythms, developing communication and confidence, or simply experiencing the joy of making music, every session is built around the individual.

💚 Everyone learns differently, and that’s something to celebrate!

Whether you’re a complete beginner, returning to music or looking to develop your skills further, my aim is to make every lesson enjoyable, rewarding and meaningful.
