🚨 Farewell & Best Wishes!🚨

470 (Falkirk) Squadron is saying a heartfelt goodbye to Hayley McKinlay as she leaves us to begin an exciting new chapter in the Royal Navy.

Hayley has made a huge impact on 470 Squadron — she will be missed by cadets and staff alike. Her dedication, enthusiasm, and leadership have shone through in everything she has done.

During her time with us, Hayley:

Attended RAF Lossiemouth Summer Camp, where she was awarded Best Cadet 🏆

Helped support the Scottish Summer Showdown, where she even met Still Game actor Sanjeev Kohli

Travelled on the Belgium Battlefield Tour, visiting historic sites including the trenches from the Battle of the Somme

Her achievements speak for themselves, and her positive influence on those around her will be felt for a long time to come.

We wish Hayley the very best of luck as she begins her Royal Navy journey — we know she’ll excel just as she did here. 💙⚓

And remember, Hayley… 470 Squadron is always here if you ever want to pop in and say hi.

🔥 470 (Falkirk) Squadron Visit Falkirk Fire Station! 🔥

Our cadets had the fantastic opportunity to visit Falkirk Fire Station for an evening of learning, teamwork, and hands‑on experience.

The crew gave us an excellent tour of the station, talked us through their equipment, and shared what life is like as a firefighter. Our cadets loved getting a closer look at the appliances, trying out some of the kit, and asking plenty of questions along the way.

Everyone had a brilliant time, and it was a great chance to see how the skills we develop in the Air Cadets, leadership, communication, and confidence, connect with real‑world emergency services.

A huge thank you to the Falkirk Fire Station team for hosting us and giving our cadets such a memorable and inspiring visit! 💙🚒✈️
