We have an abundance of bakery items and fruit & veg in the larder, so we are going to open for a second session this afternoon from 4.30 - 6pm.

Please bring a bag and £1 donation along and choose 10 items 😃 🍅 🥒 🍇 🍞 🍕

Here are a few Myths and Facts around the Berwick upon Tweed Community Larder, there are a few misconceptions about what a larder actually is and who it is aimed at.

In short it is available for every single household to use if they want to, it is a simple way to provide low cost shopping and saving items from going to landfill.

We are looking for folk to help man and do pick-ups from local supermarkets for Eyemouth Larder with Community Fridge; to help set up, clear away and serve at the Splash Brunch Hub; and to help out at community events like Eyemouth Late Night Shopping and the Kirk Square Fair.

We are having a Volunteer Recruitment Day on Thursday 27th August. Susie and Liza will (wo)manning a stall at the Brunch Hub in Eyemouth Community Centre between 10.30am and 1.30pm, so why not pop in for a chat? Or if you can't make that, drop Susie a line at [email protected] with any questions you might have.

A wee reminder of our opening times - slightly different to before the shut down.

That's the larder now closed until Monday 3rd August - sorry for any inconvenience caused. When we re-open, it will be with slightly amended times as shown here.

Tomorrow (Friday 17th) is the last day that the larder will be open before our annual shut down to give our lovely volunteers a wee holiday, and also give us time for a deep clean.

We have LOADS of fresh fruit and veg and bakery so please come and take your fill. We will be open 9-11am. Anything left won't go to waste, it will go to animal feed, but however much we love animals, we prefer humans to get the food!

Please remember, this is not a food bank, it is open to all to prevent food waste.
