Ghyll the Mountain Rescue Search Dog A Mountain Rescue search dog team based in the Peak District National Park, England. This was formerly Penny's page. I am Ghyll a border collie.

She has now retired from Search and Rescue operations. I am a Mountain Rescue search dog in the Peak District National Park.

Working in this warm weather requires methods of keeping yourself cool. Human carrying 6 litres of water, me finding a water source for a drink, human planning for and pointing out a water source and me finding the most mingin bog to act like a warthog in.

Working in the Peak District National Park means that there is no end of mingin bogs to roll around in.

Carried 6 litres of water because of the heat. Only to start searching with Ghyyl seemingly choosing dehydration because he didn't like the new bowl.

Luckily he got over it and started to drink.

Finding one of our bodies pretending to be a hypothermic hiker.

Managed to find a number of articles (tshirt and a pair of socks) which led us to finding the person on the side of the dale.

Luckily the bum thermometer lady wasn't there so me and Penny got away scot free!

But i got so much attention and mum said I racked up atleast 30 "handsome boy" comments as I lay on my back for a tummy tickle.

Went out in the valley to have a quick search for mum.

She pretended to be a missing walker who had discarded her coat.

No problem, I found the coat and then found her.

I'm on me way to the vets for a general health checkup, we're taking the old girl with us for a check up aswell. If I am lucky I will get a treat. If I am not, they will stick a thermometer in me.
