Beach Heroes is a brand new free challenge for 5–12 year olds, running from 25th July to 4th September, all about creativity, coastline care, sea safety and connecting with nature 🦀🐚

It will be such a lovely way for children to get outdoors, get involved and have some summer fun 💙

Sideshore Sunset Cinema returns on Friday 24th July for another evening of outdoor cinema, and if last time was anything to go by, tickets will go fast!

It’s so lovely seeing children popping by to pick out buckets, spades and toys to take down to the beach 💙

If you’ve got any spare beach toys at home that are no longer being used, we’d be really grateful for any donations. We know they’d get plenty of use over the summer 😊

🧂 Salt Fest begins on Saturday 18th July with a full day of coastal fun, community activities, and sea-inspired challenges, with even more taking place across the festival on Sunday too! 🌊

Here’s what’s happening on Saturday:

🌅 Early Bird Dip
Start the day with a refreshing sea swim and soak up the early morning coastline.

🏃 Ocean-Themed Parkrun
A scenic coastal run with sea-themed costumes, salty air, and plenty of fun along the route.

🌊 Kids’ Open Water Badges
A safe and confidence-building introduction to open water swimming for younger participants, led by experienced coaches.

🚤 IRB Rescue Demonstrations
Watch Exmouth Beach Rescue Club showcase exciting real-life rescue techniques and teamwork on the water.

🏖 Beach Flags
Fast-paced beach races that are fun, competitive, and open for everyone to have a go.

🚣 Fancy Dress Raft Race
Gather your team, build your raft, dress to impress, and paddle your way around the course in one of Salt Fest’s most entertaining events.

Last year, Sideshore reached 27 schools, over 12 fantastic days of coastal activity, creativity, and connection, all made possible by our incredible funders, partners, schools, volunteers, and supporters… and this year, we’re going even bigger! 🌊

✨ Have you signed up to join in with The Sideshore Swim at Salt Fest yet?! 🌊🏊‍♀️

Taking place on Sunday 19th July from 7:30am to 6pm, this exciting day of open water swimming, coastal challenges, and coaching sessions is set to be one of the highlights of the Salt Fest weekend!

Whether you’re an experienced swimmer or giving open water swimming a go for the first time, you can choose from 3000m, 1500m, or 750m distances and take on Exmouth’s beautiful coastline.

For those looking for an extra challenge, the Sprint Aquathlon combines swimming and running in a fast-paced sea-to-shore race packed with energy and atmosphere.
