I’ve been chatting with a local resident who uses a mobility scooter, and he’s interested in connecting with other mobility scooter and wheelchair users in the Whipton area.

The idea is to create a friendly, supportive group where people can meet up, enjoy a wheel-along together, stop for a tea or coffee, share experiences, and get to know one another.

There’s also interest in bringing people together to help raise awareness of the everyday challenges around accessibility -including pavements, crossings, and getting around safely and comfortably in the local area.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, or you know someone who might like to join in, please get in touch.

Sharing this lovely local event organised by the Polsloe Community Association.
Come along, bring a cake or another bake, and sample some delicious treats made by other people. It’s free to attend and a lovely chance to meet neighbours, enjoy the sunshine, and spend time together in Priory Road Park. Don’t forget to bring something to sit on.
And if anyone in Whipton would be interested in doing something similar locally, do let me know!

The wonderful Whipton Pop up Play cafe is now closed for the Summer but will be back in September.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our Meet with Mummies/Whipton pop up play cafe since January. We are very grateful and have met some lovely families. If you have had a happy experience perhaps you could add a review/reccomendation.

Due to a change in our own family commitments we have taken the decision to close the cafe until September, when it will become a monthly session opening for longer.

We look forward to seeing you all then.
