πŸŽ‰πŸ’œ Celebrating the NHS Birthday at Wonford House! πŸ’œπŸŽ‰

It was great to spend time with colleagues on the green at Wonford House this week celebrating the NHS Birthday.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the UNISON stall, and to Phil Mantay, Liz Perry and Jess Hobbs for taking the time to visit and celebrate with Caroline Emery and members of the Branch.

Thanks to all NHS staff for everything you do – today and every day. πŸ’™

πŸ’œ Together we're stronger.
πŸ’œ Together we're UNISON.

We were proud to stand together at Exeter Pride on 9 May 🌈

Members from UNISON Devon Partnership & Community Health (DPCH), alongside other colleagues from across our region, joined the parade and celebrations β€” showing our shared commitment to equality, inclusion, and support for LGBT+ workers.

From marching through the city to speaking with people on our stall, it was a fantastic opportunity to connect, listen, and champion the importance of safe, inclusive workplaces for everyone.

At UNISON, we believe that everyone deserves to feel respected, valued and supported at work β€” and beyond. Pride is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come, and how much we continue to stand together to achieve.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, spoke with us, or supported on the day πŸ’œ

🌈 We’re proud to be supporting Exeter Pride 2026! 🌈

UNISON will be showing our solidarity with Exeter Pride on Friday 9 May, standing alongside LGBTQ+ members, allies and the wider community to celebrate equality, visibility and inclusion.

Pride is about more than celebration – it’s about standing together against discrimination and making sure everyone feels safe, respected and supported at work and in our communities. That’s why UNISON is proud to support events like Exeter Pride and the incredible work that goes into making them happen.

If you’re heading along, keep an eye out for us – and make sure you follow Exeter Pride for updates and information about the day.

ONE TEAM. ONE NHS. ✊

The NHS is being pushed to breaking point β€” and job cuts will only make things worse.
Cutting NHS roles means longer waits, stretched services, and more pressure on the staff who keep our health service running every day.

UNISON is clear:
🚫 NHS cuts are not the answer
πŸ’œ Staff deserve security, not uncertainty
πŸ₯ Patients deserve safe, fully staffed services
We stand together to protect jobs, services, and the future of our NHS.

Now is the time to speak up and stand strong.
