Meet CI Laura Conibeer—formerly 2469 Squadron Cadet and now one of our dedicated Civilian Instructors.
Laura continues to be a tremendous asset to the squadron, sharing her experience, enthusiasm and commitment to support our cadets and staff. Her journey is a brilliant example of how the RAFAC family continues beyond cadet service, with former cadets returning to inspire and develop the next generation.
Thank you, Laura, for everything you do for the squadron. Your time, energy and dedication are truly appreciated! 💙✈️

Yesterday, Cadets and Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers from across Devon & Somerset Wing gathered in Exmouth to remember the brave personnel who, during our nation’s darkest hour, answered the call to defend our skies in what would become the Battle of Britain.

Together, we remembered not only The Few who took to the skies, but all those whose courage, determination and sacrifice contributed to the defence of Britain in 1940.

Following a service at Holy Trinity Church, our cadets and volunteers paraded through Exmouth before gathering at the Battle of Britain Memorial on the Esplanade for an Act of Remembrance.

More than eight decades later, their service and sacrifice have not been forgotten.

As the next generation of the Royal Air Force family, we are proud to come together to remember them.

We will remember them.

Three of our cadets from 2469 (Exeter St Thomas) Squadron are smashing it at the South West Region Summer Camp hosted by RAF Odiham.
They’ve already toured multiple sections across the station, met personnel from all trades, and thrown themselves into every activity.
Still three days to go — plenty more learning, laughs, and opportunities ahead.
Proud of you all. 👏💙

were out last night in Cowick Barton Playing Fields, playing their part in the local community by carrying out a litter pick across the playing fields.

We have close links to our local community and is important to us all that we ensure we keep areas around our HQ building clean and tidy.

Well done to all the cadets involved.
