Volunteer Week 1st - 7th June 2026!

Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.

We are so lucky to have an amazing team of Volunteers who go above and beyond to help make Baby Bank Exeter a valued service within Exeter and the surrounding areas.

Not only do our team give up their free time to come into the unit to help clean, sort, wash, iron, pack and anything else that is required on any given day, but they’re always on the look-out for items that we need from their own friends and family.

We’re proud to say that we are a well oiled team and each and every cog (Volunteer) plays their part in making sure we’re able to keep our service going.

Hope you all had a good half-term. What amazing weather we had!

It’s currently a little bit grey and overcast but our mood is still bright. We had our first Lord Mayor’s Coffee morning on Saturday which was an absolute success, and we have more events coming up over the year which we'll keep you updated on.

Join us for our FIRST ever Lord Mayor’s Charity Coffee Morning tomorrow at the Guildhall.

We’ll be there from 10am - 12pm serving tea/coffee and lots of lovely cakes and treats.

If you’re heading into town it would make a great pitstop to refuel in the centre of town in the beautiful historic Guildhall.

Sue joined the Baby Bank team last week and is already packing up bundles and getting stuck in to the Baby Bank world.

Being a Volunteer at Baby Bank Exeter is a very varied experience. The role varies with everything from pram cleaning to sorting donations.

All of our Volunteers have preferred jobs, but ultimately everybody gets stuck into whatever needs to be done on the day.

We think that Sue is going to fit in very nicely at Baby Bank Exeter.

We have some fairly big and exciting opportunities this week that you, our supporters maybe able to help us with 🤞🤞🤞

🧷We are looking for a dry storage space that could house 13 pallets of nappies! This could be a garage, an unused area in a work space, a large shed. We would hate to turn this incredible donation away as it will be huge in helping families, but we just don’t have room in the unit! It would be on a short term basis.

🍰We also have an exciting opportunity for a bakery/cake maker to support us with The Lord Mayors Coffee mornings, with the first one coming up this Saturday. A wonderful opportunity to share your delicious bakes with the community and via our social media platforms as well as playing a vital role in helping the Baby Bank raise funds.

For various events this year we are also on the look out for ….
🧸 Teddies for a tombola
🧶 Wool for knitting projects
🎟️ Raffle prizes
🍔 BBQ food/ Refreshments

Thank you for following our charity and helping local families in need. Without our supporters we wouldn’t be able to operate, it is a mighty team effort ❤️
