Newcourt WI We're a very friendly WI. We meet monthly on third Tuesday at 7.30 pm in the Community Centre.

A lovely walk with the GoWIld group today at Offwell woods. It was great to be out in nature where we sat overlooking the large pond for a coffee break! Crossing over a few wooden bridges and stiles and walking through the beautiful woods and fields with the sun shining.We went on to Honiton garden centre for a light lunch! Excellent company.

Last night the GoWIld group had a very informative introduction to bats by the Devon Wildlife Trust Bovey Tracey Local Group at Parke.
With the aid of several bat detectors we saw and heard 8 different species of bats, not bad considering there are 16 varieties in Devon!
Although very dark towards the end, the full Sturgeon moon shone its light! Enjoyed by all.

A fabulous evening following a 'Where's the Committee' trail around Topsham last night, trying to find 32 clues! A fun time and a chance to bond with members and bring out our competitive sides( for some)! We finished at the Globe for drinks, medals and prizes!! The committee were dressed as Where's Wally and definitely sparked interest amongst the locals!

Our August meeting took the form of a 'Where's the Committee' Topsham Trail. We all had a lot of fun (and exercise, going back over the route a second time to find missed clues). The Committee really entered into the spirit of the theme!
