If you have recently visited the community centre, you may have noticed a new information panel installed between the phone boxes at the centre's main entrance.

This panel highlights the history of the K6 Red Phone Boxes and their evolution in function and design since they were first produced in 1936 to commemorate King George V's Silver Jubilee.

Did you know that the Red Telephone Boxes we see every day in towns and cities across the UK have such a rich history?

Let us know if you've spotted the panel, and if you have any interesting facts about them you'd like to share, we would love to hear from you in the comments!
