🎉 FANTASTIC NEWS FOR TURNTABLE! 🎉

We are absolutely delighted to have received a generous grant from the Gibbons Family Trust ❤️

As a small local charity, funding like this genuinely makes such a difference. With insurance, fuel, vehicle maintenance, servicing and other running costs continuing to rise, this support helps us keep Turntable running while keeping our charges as low as possible for our clients.

Demand for our service is stronger than ever, with more families, young people, elderly people and individuals facing difficult circumstances being referred to us for help.

We recently received this lovely message from one of our clients after helping them furnish their new home:

“Thank you for all your help with getting furniture and appliances etc for my new home.

Your charity is a lifesaver, especially for people like myself that are moving from supported accommodation into a permanent home.

I was street homeless for 5 months and was placed into what was explained as temporary accommodation for 3 weeks. Two and a half years later I was finally offered a forever home.”

After everything this person has been through, they finally have somewhere permanent to call home. 🏡💚

Furniture might seem like an everyday thing, but when you're starting again with very little, a bed to sleep in, a sofa to sit on and the basic appliances you need can make a huge difference.

🔨 Flat-pack master at work! 👏

Our volunteer Ash took on this flat-pack build today and he was completely locked in! 😂 He took his time, concentrated on every little bit and made sure it was done properly.

And just look at the finished result… beautiful! 😍👌

There’s something very satisfying about seeing a pile of panels and screws turn into a lovely piece of furniture! 😂

At Turntable Furniture, we help people across Exeter and the surrounding areas who are struggling to afford the essentials needed to make a house feel like a home.

Whether you're starting again after a difficult time, moving into a new home, fleeing domestic abuse, leaving homelessness, or simply finding things financially tough, we're here to help with affordable furniture and household essentials.

If you think you might be eligible, or you support someone who could benefit, please watch our short video and get in touch with your support worker or referring organisation. We work with a wide range of agencies who can make a referral to us.

We’ll be taking a little break over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend 🐰🌼

The team will be having some well-earned time off…
(although as a mum to a 4 year old, there's no such thing as a break😂)

We just want to take a moment to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has donated furniture to us recently 🙌✨

The support has been incredible, and we’ve had so many amazing items come through our doors — all of which will go on to help individuals and families in need turn their house into a home 🏠❤️

A special thank you to a local housing association and furniture shop who have been regularly dropping off almost brand new furniture and white goods to us — your ongoing support has been amazing and is making such a big difference! 💚👏

💛🏠 WOW… THANK YOU EVERYONE! 🏠💛

After our recent post asking for household essentials, we have been absolutely blown away by the support from our amazing community! 🙌✨
Thanks to everyone liking, sharing and spreading the word, we’ve had so many kind people dropping off donations. Our household essentials room is now looking brilliantly stocked! 📦🧺🍽️

We’ve had bags of:
🛏️ Bedding
🧺 Towels
🍽️ Kitchenware
🍳 Pots & pans
🍴 Plates & cutlery

All of these items will go directly to the individuals and families we support who are moving into empty homes and starting again ❤️🏡

We are always accepting these items, so if you’re having a clear out please keep them coming and feel free to drop them down to us anytime during our donation hours 🙏
