We welcome the PM's pledge to end rough sleeping by Christmas as it marks an important milestone.

Every year we've seen the numbers of rough sleepers rising, and in recent weeks alone we have had around 65 people needing our services every week.

Whilst the announcement is a great first step, it needs to be followed up by more comprehensive, long-term solutions such as funding commitments for both accommodation and support services.

You can read our full story on the announcement via our website - https://stpetrocks.org.uk/prime-ministers-announcement-on-end-homelessness/

We not only welcome people into our centre, but dogs too!🐾

We're endorsed through the Dogs Trust 'Together Through Homelessness' Scheme. This is given to homelessness services which go above and beyond to help keep people and their dogs together.

As we have a number of dogs visiting our centre on a regular basis, we're in need of more dog donations to help us care for our four-legged friends.

We're looking for donations of:
- Dog treats
- Dog play / chew toys (ideally without squeakers so we don't get too distracted! 😉)
- Wet dog food.

Donations can be taken to the Mint Methodist Church on Fore Street.

Thank you!

Thank you to Jade from University of Exeter for dropping of this food donation. The food, consisting of items such as ready meals, chips, frozen fruits and vegetables was donated by the students living in the 650 rooms at Exeter university vacating this summer.

Not only does this help to reduce food waste by preventing the discarding of unused food items, but it also helps us to feed the rising numbers facing homelessness across the city.

Between Monday 10 and Friday 14 August, our centre will be closed in order for our team to carry out essential maintenance safely.

If you are looking to make a donation of items, these can be taken to the Mint Methodist Church on Fore Street.

If you are a client of ours, you can find information about options for free food during the week via our website: stpetrocks.org.uk/get-support/

If you are experiencing homelessness, please contact Exeter Council on 01392 265726 and if you are rough sleeping then ask to speak with the ECC Outreach Team.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back on the 17 August.

At St Petrock's we strive to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone. In an environment where women are often in the minority, we recognise how important it is to provide spaces that are just for them. Places where they can connect, be heard, and feel supported.

Through our weekly Women’s Group, we teamed up with the amazing Sarah McFloof to create this collaborative, client-led mural.

More than just a statement piece to brighten our walls. It is a mural that's a celebration of the women who access our services. It reflects their strength, resilience, creativity, and individuality, whilst also creating a sense of ownership and belonging within the space.

Every brushstroke represents voices, experiences, and stories that deserve to be seen, making this artwork a lasting reminder that this is their space too.
