Today in stable club we learned how to put on a bridle and check it fits properly and all had a try. Thank you Charm for being a great helper! We also had a good sort out of the grooming kits

This week at stable club we learned how to correctly put on a saddle, and everyone had a chance to try it themselves. We also discussed a few simple checks to ensure the saddle fits the pony properly. Afterwards, we did some grooming and practised rolling up lead ropes — it’s not as easy as it looks!

Back at Stable Club today learning all about tack! We worked on identifying the parts of a bridle, taking it apart, giving it a good clean, and putting it back together again 🐴
We finished off with some grooming and a bit of styling—Arthur was the perfect model and stood so patiently for us!

Today at stable club we dove into the fascinating world of saddles — exploring the different types, what they’re used for, and breaking down all their parts. We even chatted about the specifics of side-saddle riding, and looked at footage of a rider clearing an impressively high jump while riding side saddle!
We wrapped up the session with some well-deserved pony pampering ❤️

It was the last stable club today before our break on 21st for half term and as it was a lovely day - a rare treat in 2026, we prepared the ponies and took Arthur, Sparkle, Crispin and Ziggy for a walk in the glorious sunshine 🌞, our young people were excellent managing the ponies on the road and everyone had a brilliant time.
