Our aim is to bring together people who share a love of Rock and Metal music, and want to attend gigs, meet people, and enjoy our socials. Over the past few years, the society has organised trips to see Alestorm, Saint Vitus, Gojira and Metallica, to mention a few. Last academic year trips were made to Bristol to see Venom Prison, Thy Art is Murder, Slabdagger, and Barns Courtney, and to London to
see Amon Amarth, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, Eye Hate God and Green Lung. The society has also visited a number of festival including Download, Arctangent, 2000Trees and Desertfest. We also organise our own gigs as part of our RAMS Presents series, headlined by bands such as Cybernetic Witch Cult, Brain Ape, Bayonette and Mantra. Supports for these gigs tend to consist of local or even student bands and entry is discounted for members. Just like any other university society we hold pub-crawls, quizzes and various other socials in Exeter, and get discounts at various gigs and events like Indie Night at Cavern (which we attend almost every Saturday). This society is based around an appreciation for the music we love, from classic rock to pop punk to extreme metal, join today and meet all sorts of lovely people!
