Pony Club Championships report from Lydia......

After the excitement of the Tetrathlon (and infamous Tet party!), Lydia and Floof had a couple of days of rest before the Individual 90 Show Jumping where they came 20th /70 with 1 pole in the first round and a clear second round.

Another day of rest and on to the Individual 90 Eventing. The Lands Eventing Team had done a brilliant job preparing the terrain and had changed the course significantly from the Tetrathlon to provide another testing Championship track.

Team Floof did a nice dressage of 30.4, had 1 pole SJ and were 1 of 4 XC clears inside the time in their section which resulted in a podium finish of 3rd place.

Lydia was also honoured to receive 3rd place in the Horsemanship Award for all the Individual 90 Eventing competitors, marked on their riding, style, balance, setting up of their ponies and ability to stay out of their way and was a lovely surprise to finish with.

One of the highlights for Lydia was the chance to catch up with friends old and new from all over the country united by a love of horses. The level of support and laughter was truly heartwarming.

Week 2 of the Pony Club Championships and it was time for Show Jumping and Eventing.

Lamorna reports that "Champs was great fun with lots of lovely club and area support." Lamorna’s two Show Jumping rounds at 110 resulted in a top ten finish on the Thursday. The Chairman’s Cup got into full swing on Friday, attracting over 70 riders and is an event that continues to challenge and inspire some fabulous riding and stiff competition. A tough x country course followed by a testing showjumping round resulted in a double clear for Lamorna and Dora, finishing on their dressage score of 34.1, a podium place and an individual 3rd.

Very proud of senior Silverton member, Lamorna, who has just returned from a two day training camp having been selected by the Regional Youth Co-ordinators to represent the South West Region at the British Eventing Official Festival of Yourh Championships in the BE100 u18 team.

The team were put through their paces last week in all three phases and now head to the Championships at Bishop Burton at the end of July.

Well done Lamorna and Dora! 👏 🎉

Junior Regionals International Tetrathlon /Triathlon is this weekend and 3 Silverton members have been selected to represent the South West!

Competing against the best in the country and Ireland, Lydia is in the Tetrathlon with Ella and Amelia in the Triathlon.

They also have to plan and present a show for an evening competition so there will be lots of fun!
