Tiverton YC held a Hangout session last Friday with young people making candy floss and experimenting with henna and nail polish. They also held a Seniors session on Monday, where young people enjoyed making balloon animals and tortilla pizzas.

South Devon and Sherford young people took trips to Adrenaline Quarry on Wednesday and Thursday, where they overcame fears, challenged themselves, showed off their skills and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!

Next Wednesday is International Youth Day! 🎉👏

Encompass Southwest, Space Youth Services, Young DevonBarnstaple Town Council, Earth Action North Devon, North Devon Unesco Biosphere will all be at Rock Park to celebrate the young people in North Devon between 12-4pm.

There will be games, crafts and youth workers for the young people to access support and information. No pressure, just hang out with others, bring a friend & have fun!

We have an exciting opportunity for two Youth Support Workers to work at our youth centre in Exmouth & Ottery. The work will be part-time, permanent, 7 hours per week, and will include working 2 evenings per week and occasional weekends. Tiverton YC, The 100 Club, The Hive and The Station Ottery all went on a joint trip to Woodlands yesterday, where the young people had a blast!

We wanted to thank all our amazing young people for making it such a brilliant day and once again, thank you to our local funders, we couldn't do it without your support.

We have one last HUGE THANK YOU to Michael at Redwoods Travel Ltd , who in our moment of panic over our booking hiccup of the coach for the trip, came through and made sure that the young people were not let down, thank you so much, 5⭐ from us!!

We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work with young people in our Tiverton Youth Centre and local communities as a Senior Youth Support Worker. This post requires either an experienced youth worker or someone looking to change careers and work with young people as part of the youth work team. Transferable skills will be considered. Our Youth Centres are busy and vibrant spaces.. The successful candidate will enjoy the challenge of leading sessions alongside providing young people with individual packages of support. The work will be full time, 12 month fixed contract, 37 hours per week, including occasional weekends. Come and join a team of youth workers delivering high quality youth work. Welcome to our weekly highlights for Make SPACE for Summer!

This week The Hive YC held their annual Hive Live music festival in Manor Gardens, Exmouth. This was an opportunity for the young people of Devon to show off their talents to the local Exmouth community.

Tiverton YC held a rounders match between the local PCSOs and young people. The young people emerged victorious and fun was had by all!

The Station,Newton Abbot, has held it’s first Reclaim The Parks, DCC's Holiday and Food (HAF) funded sessions, in Ilfracombe and South Molton this week, with one young person heard to say “This has been the best thing so far this summer!”

These drop-in sessions are continuing across Devon in Tiverton, Cranbrook, Okehampton, Crediton & Ivybridge as well as South Molton & Ilfracombe during the rest of the summer. Search for Reclaim the Parks on https://eequ.org/
