Exeter College Choral Society is a friendly, mixed voice choir that welcomes singers of all ages and abilities (no audition required). Led by Heloise West and Alfie Pugh, we perform a varied repertoire of sacred and secular music. Heloise West is an established soprano soloist with a very busy career in the South West of England performing oratorio and operatic roles. She studied at the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and continues to study with various leading figures. Heloise teaches singing at Exeter College. Alfie Pugh is a composer, conductor and performer with a first class honours music degree from Bath Spa University. Exeter based, Alfie divides his time between piano teaching, performing in local orchestras and theatre bands, composing and arranging (particularly for local publishers Wonderful Winds) and has won multiple awards for composing. He is the musical director and arranger for the Locked Horns Jazz Orchestra (www.thelockedhorns.com). He also conducts three choirs, including Exeter College Choral Society.
