1st Exeter Boys' Brigade The Boys' Brigade offers a programme with plenty of variety and little chance of becoming bored!

Lots of physical activities, crafts, games and competitions, with the opportunity to learn new skills. As well as our regular weekly meetings we take part in competitions with other BB Companies, attend and support our own BB Camping & Training Centre at Broadleas, Haytor, on Dartmoor, and some of us take part in a regular summer camp at Pembrey Country Park in Wales. Most of all our activities are centred around having fun and making friends – why not come along and give us a try? Anchor Boys for ages 5 - 7 from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm

Junior Section for ages 8 - 11 from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm

Company Section for ages 12 - 18 from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm

Thank you to everyone who came to the Harvest celebration today. We learnt that God cares about our kneading troughs, in other words our daily health. This was the dough that was kneaded in a dirty bowl, after three hours, it still rose, but sadly has to be thrown away. Harvest is a chance to celebrate His love and day-to-day care.

I’d like to thank everyone who joined us for our Enrolment Service and our first Church Parade Service at St Mark's Exeter. Your support and presence made the day truly special.

We had a fantastic turnout from both boys and leaders, and it’s wonderful to see such enthusiasm right at the start of our partnership with St Mark’s. A brilliant beginning to what promises to be an excellent journey together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone tomorrow morning for an all-age Harvest festival. We are also delighted to be welcoming 1st Exeter Boys' Brigade one again to St Mark's.

Happy 143rd Founding Day to The Boys' Brigade worldwide! ⚓⚓⚓

On this day, October 4th, 1883, Sir William Alexander Smith founded the very first company of The Boys’ Brigade at North Woodside Road in Glasgow, Scotland. What started as a single group of boys has grown into a global movement that has shaped the lives of millions of young men over the last 143 sessions.

As we kick off this milestone session, we remain firmly anchored in our twin pillars: Religion & Discipline. We continue our mission to advance Christ's Kingdom among Boys and promote habits of Obedience, Reverence, Discipline, and Self-respect.

To all our Officers, Volunteers, Anchors, Juniors, Seniors, and Alumni—thank you for keeping the BB emblem flying high. Let us continue to be Sure & Stedfast in everything we do! ⚓⚓

Weekly Details: We meet every Tuesday during term time (excluding half term) at Sidwell Street Methodist, 60–64 Sidwell Street, Exeter, EX4 6PH.

Church Services: Held at St Mark’s Church, Pinhoe Road, Exeter, EX4 7HU.

Our Age Groups & Meeting Times
• Anchors — Ages 5–8, 6.15pm–7.30pm
• Juniors — Ages 8–11, 6.15pm–7.30pm
• Company — Ages 11–14, 7.30pm–9.30pm
• Seniors — Ages 14–18, 7.30pm–9.30pm

We are pleased to share that our Company charity for this session will be Bradley's Promise.

Thank you to all members and leaders who took part in the voting process. Your engagement and thoughtful consideration are truly appreciated.

Over the coming weeks, we will launch a variety of fundraising initiatives, including a friendly competition between the Anchors/Juniors, and the Company/Seniors. Through these activities, we aim to work together to raise funds and awareness for this worthwhile cause.

We look forward to making a meaningful contribution to Bradley’s Promise as a Company.
