We are delighted to announce that Liberal Democrat Councillor Kevin Mitchell was yesterday honoured at an event to mark the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.

An Honorary Friend of the Ukrainian Community award was awarded to Cllr Kevin Mitchell.

Cllr Mitchell received the award for his consistent public and civic support for Exeter’s Ukrainian community, including advocacy for Devon Ukrainian Association and Berehynia Ukrainian School.

Kevin commented: " I would like to thank the Ukranian Community for this great honour. My husband, Ian, and I have over many years had the privilege to support and get to know many within the Ukranian Community. We appreciate your friendship and we will always be by your side."

Velwell Road Parking

My colleague Cllr. Michael Mitchell has been trying his best to improve the balance of parking within Velwell Road.

The details of the proposed changes are below. Michael and I accept the Devon County Council proposals could have been better but it is a step in the right direction.
