During Refugee Week (15-21 June) we celebrate the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. After the Prague Spring of 1968, The British Council for Aid to Refugees was concerned about elderly Czechoslovakian refugees to Britain who may not have identified themselves and therefore were not receiving the help they needed. This letter reveals the Council asked the Epsom Cluster of hospitals to check their records for any patients who may be refugees, with a view to locating them and providing assistance.
