Evesham Volunteer Centre As a Volunteer Centre we identify Volunteering opportunities throughout the Vale of Evesham. We provide community transport and befriending services.

Evesham Volunteer Centre is staffed by dedicated and experienced individuals, assisted by many volunteers. Our aim is to recruit, advise and guide those willing to undertake voluntary work and in doing so be a focal point for voluntary and statutory organisations, who use Volunteers. Everyone has the right to volunteer without experiencing discrimination and that Evesham Volunteer Centre has a res

ponsibility to advise Volunteers appropriately and sensitively. Volunteering is a matter of free choice and there can be no obligation to become a Volunteer. Volunteering is a valuable and integral part of society and as such volunteers deserve support and recognition. Volunteers assist in effecting social change and improving quality of life and play an essential role in alleviating the effects of poverty, ignorance, inequality and injustice.

Could you help shape the future of community energy in the Vale? ⚡💚

We’ve been speaking with EVER, a local not‑for‑profit community benefit society, and they’re looking for passionate people to join them as volunteers, members or directors.

EVER is building a future where renewable energy projects are owned by local people, employ local people and benefit local people. Their goal is to become a hub for everything energy related — from transport and retrofit to advice, education and green career pathways.

They’re currently looking for:
💰 Financial expertise to support accounts
📈 FCA submissions and fundraising
⚖️ Legal expertise to help with governance and raising funds for local renewable installations
🗣 General volunteers to spread the word, help at events and support with leaflets and materials

This week shines a light on something many people experience but rarely talk about: feeling alone. At Evesham Volunteer Centre, our POPI Project helps change that.

We arrange home visits, offer friendly telephone chats, and host a monthly lunch club catered by Working World to help people feel connected again.

Do you have a few hours free between 9:30am and 1pm during the week? Come join our friendly team and make a real difference in your community by helping on our Community Transport Desk.

What you’ll be doing:
☎ Taking telephone bookings
☎ Updating our booking diary
☎ Allocating journeys to our amazing volunteer drivers

This role is perfect for someone who loves a chat, enjoys being part of a team, or wants to build confidence and develop office skills.

From 1st to 7th June, we’re celebrating the amazing people who make Evesham shine.

Last year alone, our volunteer drivers helped over 6,000 people get to their appointments. 🚗💙

🗓 Wednesday 17th June
📍 St Mary’s Parish Centre, Evesham

Our POPI Lunch Club is a monthly chance to enjoy good food, friendly faces, and a welcoming space to connect. Whether you come along yourself or bring someone who’d benefit from a social afternoon, everyone is greeted with warmth.

Working World provides a delicious main and dessert, and our volunteers help make the afternoon special with conversation, support, and a fun raffle. Transport can be arranged through Evesham Volunteer Centre.
