We are thrilled to honour exceptional individuals whose unwavering commitment has significantly enriched our brass band community:
🎉 Regent Brass 40th Anniversary Awards
At their recent 40th birthday celebration, Regent Brass paid tribute to several founding members:
Paul Fensom – Founding conductor, who journeyed from Bergen, Norway, to join the festivities.
Philip Doe – Composer and arranger, whose works featured prominently during the event.
David D'Costa – Treasurer and continuous member since the band's inception, honoured with a Long Service Award.
Jeanette D'Costa – Recognised for her invaluable contributions to the band's development.
Darryl D'Costa – Also acknowledged for his significant role in the band's history.
These individuals have been instrumental in shaping Regent Brass's legacy over the past four decades.
🏅 Hitchin Band Recognitions
In a recent ceremony, Hitchin Band celebrated the remarkable contributions of:
Dinah Birch – Honoured for her 25 years of dedicated service, including founding the youth band and fostering a partnership with Richmond Hill School in Luton, enhancing performing arts for special needs students.
Keith Birch – Recognised for his 40-year tenure, during which he has held various pivotal roles, driving the band's numerous projects and performances.
Their unwavering dedication continues to inspire and strengthen our musical community.
