⭐ SONGWRITING WORKSHOP with the wonderful Cera Impala ⭐

This workshop is brought to you at a DISCOUNTED PRICE thanks to funding from DECBG (DUMFRIESSHIRE EAST COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND)

It's aims are to explore how to open the mind, using a variety specific methods, to play with ideas for songwriting, and worksheets are specifically developed to ask essential questions which we can cultivate and share! We are inspired by each other in big and small ways every day, and can, find many themes worth writing about.
Work books are available to buy on the day for £10-15 (sliding scale) in Addition to what will be provided on the day.
Participants asked to please bring a book they don’t mind cutting up… Ideally something kind of silly, can even be a children’s book — or two.(something that speaks to you) And also to bring a book that has a lot of large illustrations that speak to you… ideal for it to be a sturdy book, not a magazine.
Bring scissors, a glue pen, a journal with no lines, pencil, eraser, pen, a water bottle, a snack, a phone (for recording purposes, if needed)

The first week of our ceramics class with Ruth Elizabeth Jones and it was amazing.
Ruth is an absolutely wonderful teacher and guided us through making two pinch vessels and we started working on a larger coil built vessel.

The next book for Book club 🥁

Kristen Hannah - The Nightingale

"With courage, grace and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristen Hannah captures the epic panorama of world war two and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: The women's war. The Nightingale tells the story of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path towards survival, love and freedom in war torn France. It is a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrated the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women."

Our next meet will be September 27th at 3:30pm so plenty of time to read and digest.

Happy reading 🤓
