Unite Esher Place - your frequently asked questions answered. Q: I am visiting the area - can I book a room and stay at Unite Esher Place? A: Unite members can enquire if we have rooms available either during the week or on one of our member weekend breaks held on specific dates throughout the year. Conditions apply, for further information click here: https://www.uniteesherplace.org/ Q: I have a disability - what facilities are available at Unite Esher Place? A: We are constantly improving facilities for members and visitors with disabilities. To date, Unite Esher Place has wheelchair friendly access lifts, bedroom and toilet facilities. There is also hearing loop facilities available. In order to ensure that we can meet specific needs we advise delegates with disabilities to make contact with Unite Esher Place management prior to arrival. Unite Esher Place operates a PEEP (Personal Emergency Egress Plan) system for delegates with disabilities - This involves a short meeting with the Duty Manager upon arrival so that we can assess what assistance may be required in the event of an emergency. Q: I want to apply for an Education course - do I contact Esher Place direct? A: No - all course administration is carried out by the Education Department based in Holborn, London. If you are already booked on a course and have a query - please contact the Education Department on 0207 611 2500. A: All reservations for union related meetings and events are regulated by a bookings policy and must be organised through an Unite officer. Q: I'm attending a course soon and I have special dietary requirements - can Unite Esher Place meet my needs? A: We cater for vegetarians on a daily basis - in order to cater for other specific needs however we do ask that delegates advise us of any information relating to specific diets or allergies prior to arrival. Q: I am attending a course / meeting at Unite Esher Place and would like to bring my partner, can this be accommodated? A: Requests for partners attending Unite events require the authorisation from a senior officer or unless they are providing carer support for a disability. Q: Can I smoke at Unite Esher Place?
