Building work starts today on the Forge at our Scout HQ on Church Rd!
What began 10 years ago as a simple plan to upgrade our toilets has grown into a £400k+ redevelopment project that will transform our site for future generations.
This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of 3rd Epsom families, local businesses, grant providers, and our wider community. From fundraising events and donations to expert advice and behind-the-scenes work, so many people have played a part in getting us here.
We can’t wait to share our progress and welcome everyone to the new space later this year!

Thank you to the lovely people of Epsom last night for being so generous when passing through the Station. Despite a double booking we were pleased to be able to both fund raise for ourselves and also the Epsom and St Helier Hospitals Charity with the Epsom Male Voice Choir.

Thanks to sponsorship from STEM, we took a group of Cubs, a Beaver and a few Scouts to this week and completed our Air activities badge. We were treated to a super day, guided around the museum, interviewed some pilots and made model aeroplanes.

A huge thank you to all the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers who gave their time and energy at Sainsbury’s Kiln Lane on Saturday. Your enthusiasm and teamwork made a real difference!

Together, we raised an incredible £1,900 towards our HQ Renovation Project (Forge rebuild) — a fantastic step forward for our Group’s future.

A massive thank you also to the Sainsbury’s customers for their amazing generosity and support. Your donations will help create a better space for young people to learn, grow, and have adventures.

Are you someone who wants to make a real difference to 3rd Epsom’s future?
We're looking for new trustees to join our Trustee Board – a small but vital team that helps keep our group running smoothly behind the scenes. No Scouting experience needed – just a bit of time and a passion for helping our young people thrive! 💚
New charity guidelines mean we need to have a wider variety of people on our Trustee Board – you could be exactly who we need.

What does a trustee do?
🔹 Support 3rd Epsom with planning and decision-making
🔹 Help oversee finances
🔹 Make sure we’re running safely and legally
🔹 Meet a few times a year (flexible, friendly, and informal!)

A small role with a big impact – could this be you? Message us or chat to a leader to find out more. We aim to vote in some new members at our AGM on 11th Sept.

We’re incredibly grateful to Biffa Award for their generous grant, which has enabled us to carry out essential safety work at our Scout HQ. Thanks to their support, we’ve been able to replace the main hall ceiling with fire-resistant materials, removing a serious safety risk and ensuring the building is safe and ready for the 100+ young people who attend our weekly Scout meetings.

This vital upgrade means we can continue to provide a secure and welcoming space for our community for years to come.

🙏 Thank you, Biffa Award, for helping us protect our young people and preserve this important community facility.
