We welcomed new member John Oliver to Ewell Rotary Club at our Christmas Celebration. After a lovely meal at Surrey Downs Golf Club Rotarians, friends and guests enjoyed a disco by John Brewer. Thanks to Lynne Harvey, Jackie Brewer and Olive Harrison for organising our lovely raffle prizes and Margaret Martin and Peter Yeates for organizing the whole event.

Last week, we held our annual Christmas Dinner event for those over the age of 55 who usually attend our Community & Wellbeing Centre.

Over 80 people came along, including some partially sighted and some with dementia, and all joined in the festivities that included a raffle and Christmas meal with all the trimmings! Elvis was also 'in the house' and Frosty the Snowman and Santa and Mrs Claus made an appearance.

The Mayor & Mayoress of Epsom & Ewell, the Chief Executive of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and Councillor Clive Woodbridge also joined in the festive fun!

Councillor Clive Woodbridge, Chair of the Community and Wellbeing Committee said: “A heartfelt thanks to everybody in the team, including our honorary work experience lady, for organising our annual event and working so hard on the day to ensure that everybody could get the most out of the activities taking place. As always it was a wonderful occasion, one which we hope everybody enjoyed.”
