The ladies of Norfolk Bees looked like they were swarming however, on the other side of the hive entrance, they were going back in just as fast as they were coming out. I knew that it wasn’t swarming behaviour because that colony was requeening 🐝🐝🐝

This is one of Norfolk Bees large colonies there’s three supers on this colony because they need the space, but they really are amazing creatures.🐝🐝🐝

A little unknown fact about Honey Bees is that bee colonies also attracts swarms of Bees, the theory is that if the area can support those colonies, it must be a good area.
However this swarm decided to ignore all three of my swarm traps 😢🐝🐝🐝🐝

This is the bee march,it’s the way a swarm of bees will enter a hive.
The bees that are fanning the wing with their bums in the air, is to spread the queens pheromones to other bees to identify their new home.

Norfolk bees honey is still flying of the shelves at Cheeseandbees this weekend, as well as there amazing cheeses🐝🧀🐝🧀
