Proud to stand with our Armed Forces community.

Today, Voluntary & Community Action East Cambridgeshire (VCAEC) proudly signed the Armed Forces Covenant at Poets House.

This pledge reinforces our commitment to ensuring those who serve, veterans, and their families are treated with the fairness, respect, and support they deserve in our community.

"Two of our very own volunteer drivers are ex-forces, making this commitment deeply personal to our team," says CEO Angela Haylock.

Safe Soulmates CIC is applying for government funding to help more autistic people, neurodivergent people and people with learning disabilities into paid work, and to help them stay there. Good jobs depend on employers as much as job seekers, so the organisation wants to hear directly from employers.

The short survey asks how confident employers feel about recruiting, supporting and keeping neurodivergent staff, what’s already working well, and where extra support would make a real difference. The responses will help shape a programme that works for employers as well as employees, and will strengthen the funding bid by showing what local organisations actually need.

There are no right or wrong answers, and every response helps.
