The Reach Fair will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 5 May this year. As usual, areas for cycle parking will be provided in the village. Have you considered cycling to the Fair from Ely? The ride from Ely follows National Cycle Network route 11 alongside the river then across Wicken Fen, just short of 13 miles.

The Council has a plan to remove parking on Lynn Road, to make space for a narrow, two-way path shared between cyclists and pedestrians. There is no indication whether the developer, who has a commitment to build this, will lay on alternative parking. There is no indication whether the cycleway will go all the way to the centre of Ely. All the disadvantages of the parking restrictions are published but none of the advantages. The consultation closes tomorrow. See
