⭐️🎗️Golden Ball Sponsorship 🤞⭐️

There are a number of sponsorship opportunities for this year’s Just George Golden Ball. This is an important part of the events success, as it means income on the night can go directly to childhood cancer research.

We are extending the invite to businesses, organisations and individuals this year. You can sponsor for £200 then choose to name the table after a business or organisation you would like us to showcase (this could be another charity). Table sponsorship money helps cover a proportion of the venue and catering costs.🎗️

We’d also like to find an overall event sponsor, to be used in the event name e.g. ‘The Smiths, Just George Golden Ball’. £2000 would allow us to cover the various costs of entertaining our guests.

And finally, a drinks sponsor donates £500 for the welcome drinks and drinks at the tables.

Sponsorship would give:
*an opportunity to take part in a Sponsor Showcase, in August. We will offer each business a spotlight on our social media pages, to celebrate your support of Just George
*logos in prominent positions at the event (on the screen and in the programme)
*various features in our social media and press releases, after the event

Just George values this support as a great opportunity to reach new audiences, to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

Today Lisa and David were invited to Captain’s Day at Cambridge Country Club. This is one of many opportunities the golf club have dedicated to fundraising for Just George. 🧡

Overlooking the stunning course, on a beautiful afternoon, they felt heard as they shared their family’s cancer journey. David even joined in on the putting green. ⛳️

Huge thank you to everyone who donated today and Men’s Captain Nathan Richard Reilly for choosing Just George, helping raise awareness and vital funds. 🎗️

Hyrox for Just George is back, thanks to our friends at Soham Fitness Centre! Sign up and get the 30th August in your diaries. 💪🏃🏃🏽‍♂️

The HYROX HALF SIM is back at the Soham Fitness Centre!!!

Sunday 30th August we will be hosting another Hyrox half sim for both our regular members and non-members all to help raise money for the amazing charity!

The event will be kicking off at 10am with the specific race order and times being released the Monday before the event (24th August), so please ensure you arrive with enough time to prepare, with entries for the event closing on Friday 21st August.

This Volunteers' Week, we wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to our incredible volunteer community and celebrate the vital role they play in helping us find kinder and more effective treatments for childhood cancer.🎗️

Research part-funded by Just George has reached a conclusion. Below is a summary and a link to a more detailed review.

Professor Janet Shipley and her researchers found that how blood vessels are arranged in rhabdomyosarcoma tumours can help predict how patients will do. They are now testing this further to see if they can be used to improve how doctors predict which patients have high-risk cancer. This ultimately will impact the types of treatments children and young people would be given.

🧡 It’s incredible to see how George’s legacy is driving progress in childhood cancer research.
