Last night, Soham Staploe Rotary President Chris Lowe had the pleasure of presenting the first cheques from the proceeds of this year’s Soham B**r & Music Festival.
We were absolutely thrilled to present an amazing £4,500 to Ely & Soham Foodbank, helping them continue the incredibly important work they do supporting people and families in our local community.
We were also delighted to present £750 to CamSAR (Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue), whose dedicated volunteers provide a vital search and rescue service across Cambridgeshire and beyond.
We’re still finalising the festival accounts, but it’s looking like the total amount we’ll be able to donate to local charities will be over £7,000! The remaining proceeds will be distributed to other deserving local causes.
The cheque presentations took place during an enjoyable evening with Rotarians and guests at The Cherry Tree in Soham.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the Soham B**r & Music Festival such a huge success – our volunteers, sponsors, musicians, suppliers and, of course, everyone who came along and supported the event.
Every pint poured, every song enjoyed and every person through the gate helped us raise this fantastic amount for our community. 🍺🎵❤️
