Ely's Xmas Toy Bank Ely's toy donation scheme is back, to help struggling families give their children gifts this Xmas.

09/07/2026

We have become aware of an article in this week’s Ely Standard that claims Ely Toy Bank has organised 3 concerts for a cause in the Middle East.

We want to make clear it is Peter Harris who has organised these and that they are nothing to do with Ely Toy Bank - The fact that he was the founder of Ely Toy Bank a few years ago is irrelevant.

Our aim in Ely Toy Bank is SOLELY focused on helping needy children of struggling families in the Ely area get presents this Christmas. Further news on this year’s Toy Bank campaign will be released later this year.

Thank you.

Toybank will be back for Christmas 2026. And we’re already preparing.

We’re so grateful for the extraordinary generosity of our community and the dedication of our volunteers, who together made Toybank possible for so many families last year. As the need continues to grow, our team is taking time to strengthen how Toybank operates, so that we can serve local families well, with care, dignity, and fairness.

Over the coming months, we’ll be working more closely with local schools, churches, and partner organisations, and we’ll also be inviting more volunteers to join the team. Toybank has always been a partnership between church and community partners and volunteers, and we’re committed to building something sustainable that truly supports those who need it most.

Watch this space for updates — and thank you for being part of it.
