Our next session of Good Grief Soham is this coming Monday 24th August from 6-8pm.

If you or someone you know is grieving then we can offer a welcoming and informal environment, a listening ear and the opportunity to meet other grievers if you so choose.

Wonderful news 🤩🤩

We are thrilled to announce that our most recent funding application has been successful and we are now funded to continue running Good Grief Soham up until October 2027 💛🧡❤️

This time last year we hadn’t even launched the project and it’s incredibly moving to look back and reflect on how far we have come and the impact.

The aim of Good Grief Soham has always been to provide a safe and supportive space for those who are grieving, in an informal and welcoming environment and it’s so lovely to know we can continue to do this and to grow and build the support we can offer.

We have lots of exciting plans for the year ahead but at our core we remain committed to being there and listening to anyone who feels it might help them to talk about their grief.

Grief is not something to get over or fix but if we can walk alongside people on their journey, even briefly, if we can help people feel less alone in how they are feeling then that is worth its weight in gold to us.

We have had such incredible support from the local community which has meant so much and a huge thank you to Viva for believing in the project from the beginning and continuing to provide such a beautiful space for us.

Above all, I could not have asked for a more committed and caring team of volunteers, it has been a privilege working with each and every one of you this past year and sharing in such a special venture.

Good Grief Soham was never intended to be about me although ironically I would never have set it up had it not been for my own significant loss. So I’ll just say that the project has come to mean the world to me and been healing in ways that I had not expected. I’m so very thankful.

We have had some lovely craft activities donated to us at Good Grief Soham from one of our generous Viva members.

There is the chance to make memory boxes and coasters along with other craft activities. Suitable for adults and children we will have a craft corner available at our session this evening 🧡💛🧡💛

At Good Grief Soham there is no pressure to be okay.

Everyone is welcome to be themselves and express their emotions.

If you are grieving and thinking about coming, please be reassured that:

There will be people to welcome you and show you where to go.💛

There is no pressure to arrive at the start time or stay for the whole session. 🧡

You will find a relaxed and informal cafe style environment with free refreshments and home baked goods.🍪🍰

All ages are welcome and we have toys and young helpers who can entertain any small people 🥰🥰

You can have a one to one chat with one of our listening volunteers, chat to other grievers, or simply just ‘be’ ❤️❤️

Good Grief Soham is on this evening (Thursday 9th July)

If you are grieving, whether it is a recent loss or a long time ago, and you would like some support or just to be able to talk then please do come along.

We are a warm and welcoming group, it’s very informal so don’t feel you have to get there at the start, just join us when it suits you.

We have listening volunteers, young helpers to look after any children and free refreshments including home baked goods 🥰🥰

We appreciate it can be daunting but please be reassured that you will receive a warm and gentle welcome ❤️❤️
