🍔🌭 We're ready for tomorrow! 🌭🍔

The 1st Sutton Scout Group BBQ team is looking forward to serving up delicious burgers, sausages, chilli bowls, and vegetarian options at the school fete tomorrow.

Whether you're after a classic burger, a veggie option, or a warming bowl of chilli, we've got something for everyone – including gluten-free and vegan choices.

Come along, enjoy a fantastic day, and support local Scouting while you're there. Every purchase helps us continue providing adventures, skills, and opportunities for our young people.

🏕️ What an incredible Cub & Scout Camp! 🏕️

We're back home after an action-packed camp and what a fantastic time everyone had! From challenging themselves on exciting activities to making new memories with friends, our Cubs and Scouts showed great teamwork, determination, and enthusiasm throughout the weekend.

Activities included:

🌼🐣 Happy Easter from 1st Sutton Scout Group! 🐣🌼

Our young people across Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have had a fantastic term, full of fun, learning and adventure.

We’re now looking forward to an exciting term ahead, with nights away planned for all sections and activity days for our younger members! ⛺🌿

What a fantastic Half Term Sleepover our Squirrels had! 🌙🐿️🌳

This time, we stepped into the wonderful world of Percy the Park Keeper for a fun-filled adventure!
We started off with a hike, exploring just like Percy would, followed by a trip to the park where there was plenty of energy and smiles all around. Back at base, everyone got busy decorating delicious biscuits (which didn’t last long! 😋).

Our Squirrels showed off their creativity by building their very own lawnmowers using STEM kits — we definitely have some future engineers in the making! We also enjoyed imaginative play with our little world park and dolls house, tried sensory steps, and spent some calm time drawing beautiful pictures.

After a lovely dinner together, it was time to settle down in our cosy Squirrels village for the night. 🏕️✨ Lots of giggles, excitement, and then (eventually!) some sleep.

In the morning, we shared breakfast, watched Percy the Park Keeper, and rounded off our adventure by saying our goodbyes after a truly special sleepover.

We are so proud of how brave, kind and enthusiastic our Squirrels were — what an amazing half term memory to make together! 💚🐿️

Don’t forget to pop along to Santa’s Grotto today from 4pm at The Sutton Community Fire & Rescue Station, Mepal Road - Sutton.

🎄 No need to prebook – just come along (please be prepared to queue).

🔥 S’mores and hotdogs will also be available to keep everyone warm and happy.

Down to the roundabout, right along The Brook

Lett at the High Street crossroads (past the Chinese)

Right down Red Lion Lane, along Link Lane, then up Lawn Lane

Right at the top of Lawn Lane, past the Church, into Sutton Park

Around the Sutton Park roundabout, then retracing the route

Along the High Street, left onto The Row

Right along The Row, right onto The America

Back along the High Street

🎉 Finish at The Chequers - Approximately 7.15/7.30pm 🎉

Wrap up warm, bring the kids, and don’t forget to track Santa so you don’t miss him! 🎅🎁✨
