A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, a mental health condition or an addiction cannot cope without their support.

If you are a carer you may want to complete a Carers Assessment which recognises you as a carer, looks at what you need to be able to carry on caring and focuses on your wellbeing so that you can keep caring for the person you support.

September is Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month. The thyroid gland is a small butterfly-shaped gland that makes and releases hormones. It’s found at the front, lower part of your neck, just behind the small hollow where your collar bones meet.

We’re sharing the main symptoms of thyroid cancer to be aware of 👇

If you’ve noticed any of these changes, or anything else unusual for you, talk to your doctor. In most cases, it won’t be cancer – but if it is, diagnosing it early can make a real difference.
