We hope you enjoying the summer.

As you will be aware we have been running our Crowdfund project to raise essential funds for Penniwells RDA to keep going. Due to the rise in costs we have been struggling ad running at a loss for two years. it costs around £260,000 every year for us to run and provide the much needed therapy we provide.

We have also taken offline donations from trust funds, grants and anonymous donors so if you have any contacts or would rather help in this way please do get in touch.

The crowdfund has only 5 days to go until it closes and we would love for you to help us with a final push. Please can you help us by sharing it far and wide via your own social media, emails, wattsapp and word of mouth. Let's see if we can push it over the £30,000 mark before it closes!

£10 will buy a bale of hay

£120 will pay for one set of shoes for one horse (This happens every 6 weeks!)

£500 will pay for horse feed for 1 month

Today Penniwells ventured out to Beechwood Equestrian Centre with Louie and Idris who have both joined Penniwells in 2026. Louie has been on adventures with us including Windsor Horse show, however this was Idris’ first outing with us. We all had the best time showcasing how versatile RDA ponies are! Wait until the end of the video to see their score! 😁 a big thanks to our sponsors and supporters

Home from a busy few days at Hartpury for the BD Para summer champs.

Final results are:
Saturday:
Jenny Bridger and Bertie overall Grade 6 Trot National Champion
Olivia Astley and Carmen 2nd Grade 3 qualifier
Mark Colvin and Bertie 2nd grade 4 qualifier

Sunday :
Olivia Astley and Carmen 2nd Grade 3 Summer championship
Mark Colvin and Bertie 5th Grade 4 Summer championship

All did so well. Mark riding his first season as a Grade 4 and in a long arena which is challenging - we so need to get one built at home so this becomes the norm!
Olivia - this was her first time riding at a Para summer championship with Carmen.
Jenny - this was also her first time riding at this competition in a busy warm up amongst all the para riders.

Everyone rode so well and rose to the challenge - WELL DONE!!

Penniwells truly is about what you can do and not what you can’t do, giving opportunity while having fun within a supportive team at home and away.

Thankyou to Lucy and Maddie and our volunteers keeping things going at home.

Thankyou also to Sarah and Liv for coaching, driving, grooming and holding everyone together.

Paula - Thankyou for coming along to feed us all and Trix with her unwavering support and dedication.

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking person to join our team - you need to have the following qualities:

Some coaching experience -ideally already with some good coaching experience - BHS/UKCCL2 or above.RDA experience would be preferable and we can train you if the passion is there!

- Ability to bring on younger horses 5yrs upwards and to help with schooling and fittening programmes of all horses and ponies from 14:2 upwards.

- enjoy working with both horses and our riders with disabilities.

- have a good rapport working alongside volunteers.

- understand the value of working for a charity and become involved with all fundraising activities.

Possible option to live in on site for the right applicant.
No pets.
