🌿 EIFA Parent Forum – Now Open 🌿
As part of Ellon Inclusion for All (EIFA), we are inviting parents of children with Additional Support Needs (ASN) in mainstream education at Ellon Academy to be part of our Parent Forum.
EIFA exists to support inclusive education by working collaboratively with schools and families, using lived experience to better understand challenges, highlight what works, and help shape meaningful, practical improvements.
This forum is a way for us to do exactly that — creating a space for both sharing experiences and keeping parents informed.
How it will work:
• Parents can share their experiences in a structured, respectful way
• EIFA will gather and review common themes and patterns
• A termly meeting will be held to discuss key findings and priorities
• Updates will be shared on what the school is doing to improve inclusivity
• Insights will be used to support constructive, solution-focused feedback
The aim is not to complain, but to build a clearer picture of what families are experiencing, support better communication, and help bridge the gap between policy and real-life in schools.
