Flynns Community Food Hub The Port Grocery is a community interest company based in Bromborough working with the community for the community.

At the Port Grocery our food waste warriors are continually fighting the ‘War on Food Waste’and aim to divert as much food from landfill as we can.The food provided each week will be high quality food, which is perfectly good and safe to eat, however, for some reason it may have been heading for landfill. This could be because it is a carrot which is the a little bit too long or fat for the super

market, it could be a tin with a label which is not quite the right colour green, or it could be food which is past the time the shops can sell it, but it is perfectly good and safe to still eat.

We’re looking for some lovely people who can spare a little time to volunteer at Flynns Community Food Hub and help us continue supporting our community. 🥰

Any day and ANY amount of time helps! 🙌 Whether you can give us a couple of hours, one day a week, or just help whenever you’re available — we’d be so grateful.

You could be helping with things like sorting donations, stocking the shop, organising food and helping with the general day-to-day running of the hub. 🛒🥫🍎
